Littleton Soccer Club and Colorado United will be hosting our own camps and Academy Clinics this year through our own United Soccer Camps and Academy Program. United Soccer Camps will cover all types of activites for LSC Recreational players, Academy (Rec Plus) players, and United (Competitive) players as well as individual skills camps such as Goalkeeping, Striker, and Speed/Agility Camps. Also under the United Soccer Academy umbrella will be Academy programs for recreational players; these programs will be held both in and out of season to further enhance the skills of these players.
The United Soccer Camps and Academy Staff will consist of professionally licensed Coaches from all over the world. Having international staff provides the players with a more diversified outlook and perspective to the game, which ultimately provides them with greater learning opportunities.
Camp Overviews
Recreational Camps (Ages 5 – 12 years)
These camps are designed to meet the needs of the recreational player and to help increase their technical ability and love for the game while having fun. Camp curriculum includes dribbling to beat players, learning new skills individually, passing, shooting, small sided games to develop skills and decision making. Each player that attends one of these camps will become a better soccer player.
Academy Camp (U9 & U10)
This camp is designed to meet the needs of the player entering or currently playing in Colorado United’s Academy program. The curriculum for this camp mirrors the same curriculum used in the Academy program. Increasing each player’s technical ability and tactical understanding is the main focus.
This camp is ideal preparation for the upcoming Fall 2010 season. We highly recommend attendance at this camp from our Academy players.
Competitive Camp (U11 – U14)
This camp is designed to meet the needs of the competitive player in their preparation for the upcoming Fall 2010 competitive season. There will be different curriculums utilized for the competitive age groups. This will help maximize each player’s technical ability and challenge them appropriately from a physical and tactical standpoint.
United’s competitive Director’s of Coaching will be coaching within the camp. All U11 – U14 teams are expected to participate in this camp.
Kickin & Catchin Camp (Ages 9 – 18 years)
New for 2010! This camp is two separate camps in one. Designed to meet the needs of Goalkeeper’s who want to attend a camp specializing in Goalkeeping. The curriculum will cover all aspects of goalkeeping and help prepare the Goalkeeper’s for the upcoming Fall season.
The Strikers camp curriculum will include different techniques of ball striking, the art of finishing on goal, body positioning, first touch and help improve each players decision making going to the goal.
Check the camp registration forms for further information and cost. There are no pro rated fees for the camps. There is a strict refund policy in place; all refunds need to be approved by the Director of Programming.
